Participants in the 5432…MeetUs! conference will have the opportunity to take advantage of additional training in the days following the conference (June 30 and July 1).

Each training will be confirmed with a minimum of 3 members.

The proposed training themes are as follows:

Kanban with Dragos Dumitriu – June 30 and July 1 (2 days) – € 550,00 – maximum of 15 participants: You will learn how to reduce work delivery times, prioritize demand based on team capacity, reduce firefighting and minimize the negative effects of unplanned work. You will practice the design of a Kanban system via game simulations, group exercises, practical examples, and engaging classroom type teaching. You will also see how Kanban systems help improve team morale and trust with customers.

PostgreSQL Database Administration – June 30 and July 1 (2 days) – € 849,00 – maximum of 10 participants: This course covers the tasks that a database administrator faces daily, including basic operations and intermediate techniques.

Disaster Recovery with Barman – June 30 and July 1 (2 days) – € 849,00 – maximum of 10 participants: This course covers aspects relating to Disaster Recovery for PostgreSQL-based systems. After an introduction in which you discuss the concepts related to disaster recovery in general terms, you will browse the technologies that compose the specific implementations of PostgreSQL (logical backup, physical backup, Point In Time Recovery).

Replication and High Availability with PostgreSQL – June 30 and July 1 (2 days) – € 849,00 – maximum of 10 participants: This course aims to examine the solutions available in PostgreSQL for replication. It will cover both log-shipping technology (Warm/Hot Standby, streaming replication, synchronous replication) and statement-based technology (Slony, Londiste), as well as the main related topics (connection pooling, scalability).

PostGIS Basic – June 30 and July 1 (2 days) – € 849,00 – maximum of 10 participants: This course aims to acquire skills in the use of the PostgreSQL PostGIS extension and is dedicated to all those who work in the field of GIS. After a brief introduction on spatial data, you will learn how to import a PostgreSQL database and the tools that are provided by PostGIS to manage it. We will also discuss database optimisation through indexing based on proximity and spatial location.
