Since 2013, 2ndQuadrant Italia has had a great friendship with Dragos Dumitriu.  Dragos is a Lean Kanban University Accredited Kanban trainer and coach in addition to being a Senior Consultant and High Performance Coach at Teredata.  07efa302-29ca-483e-93da-54b6fed901e5In 2016 he was endowed with the Lifetime Achievement Award by Lean Kanban University for his contributions pioneering Kanban practices and for helping organisations deliver outstanding performance improvements. Dragos will be teaming up with Gabriele Bartolini, CEO of 2ndQuadrant Italia and a Principal Consultant for PostgreSQL, to give a talk of epic proportions about Lean, Kanban, DevOps, and human enterprises.

In addition to his talk, Dragos will host a certified Kanban training in the days after the conference.

Take a moment and ask yourself a few questions…

Are your customers saying your team takes too long to deliver or that they have no idea what your team is busy doing?

Do you have a growing backlog with requests months to years old?

Do you feel like priorities are changing all the time or that you don’t know what they are?

Are you falling behind with your own professional development?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you cannot miss the Kanban training!

During this two day training, you will learn how to establish practices that help minimise the challenges identified above and more. You will learn how to reduce work delivery times, prioritise demand based on team capacity, reduce firefighting and minimise the negative effects of unplanned work. You will practice the design of a Kanban system via game simulations, group exercises, practical examples, and engaging classroom type teaching. You will also see how Kanban systems help improve team morale and trust with customers.

The training incorporates the theory outlined in the book that originally defined the Kanban Method: Kanban: Successful Evolutionary Change for Your Technology Business. Chapter 4 of this book describes Dragos’ pioneering contributions to this field. Guess what! You will also receive a copy of this book in pdf format!

After successful completion of this course, attendees will receive membership to the Lean Kanban University (LKU), a certificate of completion and access to the members’ only sections of the LKU website. (Note: This course is not on the list on the LKU site because it is a private course, but all participants will be entered in the LKU site by the teacher and will receive an LKU certificate.)
